Create a series of sites that captured the individuality of each label without having to revinvest the wheel for each site.
Under the Emi umbrella comes Virgin records, Capitol records, NZ music, Emi-DVD. Each label has its own brand and identity so each site Image Centre designed and developed needed to reflect their individuality. Virgin needed to be cool, street and underground. While Capitol needed to be strong, loud and slightly corporate. Nz Music needed to be sophisticated enough to properly portray NZ music yet look authentically New Zealand at the same time.
The sites are driven by a dynamic content management system where the EMI product range is automatically loaded into the database; new products are held in a pool until the label managers release the product. Once released the relevant images are automatically assigned to the product based on their product code. The site is fully configurable through a content management system, which allows label managers to update events, news, reviews, artist information, banners, competitions and products.
These sites are built using asp.net with a SQL 2000 database. Banners were done in Flash MX with music synced using the latest action scripting.
A hip and interactive web experience that enables users to listen to tracks, participate in interactive polls, submit and read reviews, learn more about their favoutire artists and check out what gigs, tours and events are happening each month.
